Cathedral Quarter

The Cathedral Quarter (sometimes known as the Historical Quarter or The Bail) is home to one of the greatest concentrations of independent retailers in the East Midlands, surrounded by numerous historical attractions.

Stretching from Newport Arch on Bailgate to the foot of Steep Hill, Lincoln Cathedral Quarter offers an abundance of specialist retail, art, craft, gift and fashion shops and a range of elegant restaurants and bars, set amongst Roman remains, ancient cobbled streets and magnificent historical structures such as Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral.

Bailgate and Steep Hill also host many exciting events, the annual highlight being Lincoln's world famous Christmas Market. Farmers' and artists' markets, local and visiting buskers and the Santa fun run are also enjoyed by many.

So if you are looking for something different or unique, you will almost certainly find it in the Cathedral Quarter.
